Rainbow Health Food produces Monti ("mountain"), a porridge flour made from iron-rich beans. Before YouthConnekt, founder Samuel Uwihanganye ran the business with just 3 employees, no quality certification, and a struggle to make payroll. The training mattered more than the money: as he puts it, knowledge generates money, but money without knowledge gets wasted. He learned to define his real customers, build social impact by bringing farmers, youth, and refugees into his distribution network, and communicate his product clearly. Production has climbed from around 500kg–1 ton a month to between 2 and 5 tons, now supplying roughly 50 schools.
