After learning about a Ministry programme on rural water management, Evode Ndahiro applied, was selected, and received 6 million Frw in starting capital to launch operations. His company now manages 39 water supply systems across 10 sectors, 6 powered by electric pumps and 23 gravity-fed, so families can access clean water without long journeys to fetch it. Run as a self-sustaining business through user fees, the project benefits more than 500 people, from public water-point managers to permanent and casual staff.
