Today, Rwanda begins the 32nd commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. During this solemn period of #Kwibuka32, UNDP joins the Government of Rwanda and all Rwandans in remembrance, reflection, and solidarity. We honor the memory of more than one million innocent lives lost and stand with survivors whose strength and resilience continue to inspire the world. Kwibuka is not only a time to remember—it is a call to action. A reminder that the promise of “Never Again” must live through our words, our choices, and our actions every day. In the face of unimaginable loss, Rwanda has demonstrated the power of unity, dignity, and renewal.
