Wildlife Justice calls for stronger global action against crimes that affect the environment at UNGA
Wildlife Justice was proud to deliver an oral statement during the UN General Assembly High-Level Debate on “Preventing and Combating Illicit Trafficking in Wildlife and Other Crimes that Affect the Environment” on 8 June, calling on States to recognise crimes that affect the environment (CAE)—including wildlife trafficking—not only as a conservation issue but as a serious form of transnational organised crime, enabled by corruption.
