This webinar gives context to the ASI Standards Revision first public consultation, focusing on requirements related to climate change, including: 1. Proposed new requirements related to net zero alignment (removals/avoided emissions) 2. Alternative approaches for 1.5C target setting, including SBTi, for downstream Entities 3. Continued use of the ASI Method for upstream 4. Minimum and leading practice emissions reduction performance measures, and 5. Consultation options for smelter thresholds, where we need your input! The ASI Secretariat outlines the rationale for key requirement changes, additions and removals; describe the applicability of requirements to different Entity types and highlight areas where stakeholder input is particularly sought. This webinar is part of a series intended for ASI Members and other stakeholders to improve understanding of the draft standards and the context of their development, as well as the process for providing feedback during the consultation period and beyond.
