Between January and June 2025, the Media Freedom Rapid Response (MFRR) documented 709 press freedom violations against 1,249 journalists and media workers in 36 European countries. In this webinar recording, we examine: - The types of attacks media workers faced - Who the main perpetrators were - The political and social contexts behind these violations We also take a closer look at four focus countries where journalists faced severe pressure: Georgia, Serbia, Romania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Additionally, the webinar highlights the growing use of foreign agent laws and narratives as a tool to intimidate independent journalists across Europe. More about MFRR: www.mfrr.eu
