How IGM drives capacity building & sustainability

The IGM programme has played a key role in strengthening national institutional capacity, with a focus on building a skilled local workforce and facilitating technical knowledge transfer. Through partnerships with institutions such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), IGM has promoted the use of evidence in policymaking and encouraged sustainable, data-driven public sector practices. This approach contributes to a more resilient and autonomous institutional foundation, enabling local actors to independently carry out research and policy analysis even after the programme concludes. Capacity strengthening is viewed as a long-term investment essential to sustaining outcomes and generating lasting impact in governance and public policy in Mozambique.
