HealthAI’s leadership was on the ground in #Beijing at the end of March, where CEO Ricardo Baptista Leite and Chief Scientist Peiling Yap joined global experts at the Zhong Guan Cun Forum, one of China’s leading platforms on innovation and AI. Against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving AI ecosystem, they highlighted a key milestone for HealthAI: the release of the 2nd edition of the HealthAI Global Landscape Report on AI Governance in Health. Co-authored by Dr Peiling Yap and Amanda Leal, the report provides a comprehensive overview of global regulatory trends, identifies emerging best practices and persistent gaps, and offers a deep dive into eight jurisdictions: Brazil, China, India, Singapore, Vietnam, Zambia, the US and the UK. Notably, the China chapter was developed in collaboration with Tsinghua University. The report goes beyond analysis - translating insights into actionable recommendations for policymakers, regulators, developers and citizens alike, with the aim of strengthening responsible AI governance in health worldwide. As conversations at ZGC Forum made clear, international collaboration and knowledge-sharing are essential to harness AI’s full potential for health.
