The Global Project “Promotion of Agricultural Finance for Agri-Based Enterprises in Rural Areas” (GP AgFin), implemented on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), is creating long-lasting impact by embedding financial literacy tools directly into government structures.
Since 2016, GP AgFin has worked closely with Zambia’s Ministry of Agriculture across five provinces. One major achievement is the development and national rollout of the Farmers’ Financial Cycle training, now fully integrated into Ministry structures and available in seven local languages.
The Ministry now independently trains rural communities in all ten provinces, empowering farmers with knowledge and access to finance. This video shows how GP AgFin, in partnership with Zambia’s Ministry of Agriculture, is building sustainable impact by embedding financial literacy into government systems, empowering farmers across all ten provinces with tools to access finance and grow their businesses.
