NIH Director Says Agency Will Rehire To Backfill Trump Cuts

Jay Bhattacharya, the director of the National Institutes of Health, assured members of Congress Tuesday that the agency will spend its full budget this year. He also said it will make grant funding decisions based on scientific merit, not political ideology.
