Understanding Equanomics and the importance of gender equality in development

On the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we hear from Raquel Lagunas, Global Director of Gender Equality at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Ms Lagunas discusses what UNDP calls “Equanomics,” a flagship initiative with the objective of dismantling economic structures that, unfortunately, still generate and perpetrate gender inequality.
