The IAEA today inaugurated the new Curie-Meitner Nuclear Applications Centre at its laboratory site in Seibersdorf, marking a major milestone in the modernization of its laboratories. This new facility completes the ReNuAL (Renovation of the Nuclear Applications Laboratories) initiative, which began in 2014 to upgrade the Seibersdorf laboratories and strengthen the Agency’s scientific capacity to support countries in applying nuclear science and technology for peaceful purposes.
