Extreme heat loses when adaptation wins. And communities around the world are adapting with science and ingenuity, saving lives and growing economies. In Sierra Leone, health workers are seeing how rising heat makes it harder for mothers to get the care they need. Some walk miles and even cross rivers just to reach a clinic. Climate change is putting lives and livelihoods at risk. It is time to invest in solutions that help health workers and communities adapt. There is an urgent need to invest in climate adaptation, in a way that protects people's health. We are proud to be a part of the Adapt2Win org campaign in partnership with the Gates Foundation. Working with our partners Ministry of Health & Sanitation - Sierra Leone to tell Ramatulai’s experience as a midwife in Sierra Leone helping mothers overcome the health challenges of extreme heat.
