When Vasco fled the Democratic Republic of Congo to Kakuma Refugee Camp, he carried his dreams with him. Facing hardship and uncertainty, he rebuilt his path through resilience, skills development, and leadership. Today, as co-founder of Okapi Green Energy, Vasco is expanding access to affordable solar energy in Kakuma while creating jobs and training opportunities for refugee youth, especially young women.
