At UNDP in Guatemala, we understand human mobility “as a condition inherent to human beings: a right, an option, and in many cases, a forced necessity. Migration is a multidimensional phenomenon that requires a comprehensive approach.” In this regard, we support the Government of Guatemala and local governments in strengthening migration management in municipalities most affected by migration. All of this is part of the “Action Plan on Human Mobility,” which places human rights, social cohesion, and inclusion at its core.
