Webinar: Revenues, scalability and replicability for nature- 5 lessons for policymakers & investors

This webinar is part of the Public-Private Community of Practice on Nature and Development Finance series as part of Revenues for Nature, which bridges private finance strategies with government-led National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) to mobilize funding for nature. The series focuses on key enablers to achieve the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) Target 19, aligning public and private sector priorities to unlock new investment opportunities.  This session brought together public, private, and community stakeholders to explore how credible revenue pathways can accelerate nature-positive investment and advance national delivery of the Global Biodiversity Framework. Drawing on emerging insights from models supported under Revenues for Nature and global case studies, the discussion examined practical approaches already taking root and share early lessons on aligning ecological outcomes, social benefits, and investor returns. Speakers outlined the conditions enabling success across different geographies and sectors, including blended-finance and de-risking structures, technical assistance and small-grant windows, standardized MRV and governance frameworks, modular project design, and models that embed strong community participation and benefit-sharing. The session distilled the most relevant insights for governments, financial institutions, corporates, and project developers on how revenue pathways can be integrated into national biodiversity finance strategies and leveraged to mobilise private capital at scale.
