Seventh National Reports (7NR) to the CBD, due in February 2026, are a primary source of information for the global review of collective progress in implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) to be undertaken at COP 17, including the implementation of national biodiversity targets and NBSAPs. The Online Reporting Tool (available at https://ort.cbd.int) is the official submission platform for 7NRs. Building on introductory webinars held this summer (available at https://cbd.int/reports/nr7), this hands-on training will walk participants through the features and functionalities of the Online Reporting Tool for 7NR. Participants will be encouraged to follow along with each step on their computers and ask questions if they face any technical difficulties. The training is jointly organized by the CBD Secretariat, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and is part of the capacity development support from the GEF-8 Umbrella Programme to Support NBSAP Update and the 7NRs.
