LANDSCAPE RESTORATION – Leaders connect across Latin America

Across Latin America, countries have set ambitious goals to restore degraded land. Many are well underway. But restoring forests on a large scale requires more than ambition. It takes policies and data systems grounded in local realities. WRI’s Landscape Monitoring Accelerator is here to help. The accelerator unites restoration leaders from the region to exchange knowledge, build their own tools to track progress, and turn national commitments into concrete action. By sharing their experiences, they cut through problems that would take any country years to solve alone. Here’s the result: Since 2021, the program has enabled 12 countries in Latin America to improve their public policies and monitoring systems for restoration, bringing tangible benefits to their communities. Countries are moving faster, learning from each other, and building foundations for lasting restoration. A restoration community ready to collaborate with each other. From Mexico to Chile, listen to restoration leaders sharing their insights.
