Across Sudan, vaccinators like Walid travel for hours through remote and conflict-affected areas with one mission: protect every child with lifesaving vaccines. As conflict pushes families from their homes and disrupts health services, mothers like Fatima know how critical vaccines are for their children’s survival. With support from UNICEF and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, Sudan’s health workers continue reaching children with protection against polio, measles, tetanus and other vaccine-preventable diseases, even in the hardest-to-reach communities.
