This video tells the story of Alberta Ankoma, one of 410 micro and small businesses supported through a business equipment and capacity-building-the Adwumaye initiative under GIZ’s Support to the Private and Financial Sector (PFS) Programme in Ghana.
Alberta’s journey reflects how targeted support can help entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, grow with confidence, and create better opportunities for themselves and their communities.
Beyond her individual story, this video also speaks to the wider impact of the PFS Programme. Between 2023 and 2025, the programme reached over 6,000 MSMEs across Ghana and created or maintained more than 2,000 jobs, contributing to inclusive growth, sustainable livelihoods, and a stronger private sector.

The PFS Programme is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-funded by the European Union, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in collaboration with national partners.
