MSME Success Story Ghana | Hubert Awuah | GIZ PFS Adwumaye Initiative (2024)

This video features Hubert Awuah, one of 410 micro and small businesses supported through the Adwumaye initiative under GIZ’s Support to the Private and Financial Sector (PFS) Programme in Ghana. Through vocational skills training, business coaching, and access to start-up support, Hubert was able to strengthen his enterprise and take meaningful steps toward sustainable self-employment. His journey reflects the real, human impact of skills-based entrepreneurship in creating income, dignity, and opportunity at the community level. Hubert’s story is part of a broader impact. Between 2023 and 2025, the PFS Programme reached over 6,000 MSMEs across Ghana and created or maintained more than 2,000 jobs, contributing to inclusive economic growth and sustainable livelihoods. The PFS Programme is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-funded by the European Union, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in collaboration with national partners. Watch Hubert’s story and see how skills and opportunity can transform lives.
