Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls Happy International Women’s Day! Today, we join the global community in celebrating the achievements and resilience of women and girls who continue to shape inclusive and sustainable development. Across Ghana and beyond, women play a vital role in driving economic growth, strengthening communities, and fostering innovation. Yet significant barriers to gender equality remain. Ensuring that women and girls can fully enjoy their rights, access justice, and participate equally in social and economic life requires sustained commitment and action from all of us. This year’s theme, “𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬. 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞. 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬,” calls for collective responsibility to translate commitments into action. At GIZ Ghana, we remain dedicated to advancing gender equality by supporting initiatives that promote women’s economic empowerment, inclusive governance, skills development, and equal access to opportunities. Through our partnerships with government institutions, civil society, and the private sector, we continue to contribute to creating environments where women and girls can thrive, lead, and realize their full potential. On this day, we celebrate the women who inspire change and reaffirm our commitment to promoting rights, justice, and meaningful action for all women and girls. Because when women and girls are empowered, communities grow stronger and development becomes more inclusive and sustainable.
