UNODC’s STRIVE Juvenile team was honoured to work closely with members of Borno State Children’s Parliament – and the support of the Ministry for Women Affairs and Social Development - in the run up to a recent sitting through which critical motions for the prevention of violence against children by armed and criminal groups were proposed and adopted. The young leaders engaged in active skills development sessions focused on leadership, public speaking, child rights advocacy and policy engagement; and proved themselves more than ready to take part in decision making on the issues that affect them.
