SEACAR Report 2.0 Series: Chapter Highlights - Webinar #2 & Report Launch
WWF-Malaysia, together with our core partners Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Think City, proudly launched the Southeast Asia Climate Adaptation and Resilience (SEACAR) Alliance, a regional initiative highlighting inclusive, community-driven climate adaptation efforts across Southeast Asia. Through this Alliance, we aim to amplify local solutions, foster cross-sector collaboration, and ensure that no one is left behind in ASEAN’s climate future.
Welcome to Part 3 of our 3-part series highlighting the chapters in the SEACAR Report 2.0, titled “Strengthening Southeast Asia: Adaptation and Resilience Through Collaboration and Innovation.”
This second SEACAR report showcases 10 initiatives, projects, and research efforts demonstrating how Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and technology are being applied to enhance the climate resilience of cities and communities. In this series, we share exclusive insights from the authors behind each chapter, offering their experiences, research, and visions for a climate-resilient Southeast Asia.
Part 3 features a webinar alongside the official launch of the SEACAR Report 2.0, held on 22nd October 2025 and streamed live on WWF-Malaysia’s Facebook page. During this session, we featured four chapters from the report:
▪️Chapter 1, Sustainable and Resilient Cities: How Does International Trade Support Climate Adaptation?
▪️Chapter 5, Myanmar Climate Change Alliance Phase 2
▪️Chapter 8, GIS Tools for Supporting Spatial Planning of Urban Nature-Based Solutions
▪️Chapter 10, Project HeatSafe: The Impacts of Heat Stress on Workers’ Health, Wellbeing and Productivity in Singapore
(Watch Parts 1 and 2 in the SEACAR Playlist to continue the journey and hear more from the authors shaping Southeast Asia’s climate resilience future)
