Youth strategies from informal settlements: voices from Delhi, India
Young people are learning about their rights, policy and legal frameworks to meaningfully engage with and address housing injustices in Delhi. They are promoting youth participation in urban governance and strengthening their capacity through training and empowerment.
This video was produced by the alumni of the IIHS Inclusive Housing Programme, Delhi Cohort, 2023-2024, for an exchange organised in 2025 by the housing justice team at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), as part of the 'Neighbourhoods Fit for Diverse Young People: Civic Media Practices and Urban Claims Making in Nepal and India (YCIV)' project, and facilitated through partners of the Hub for Housing Justice.
