Young people from Dharan are engaging with concrete urban challenges such as waste management, exploring its implication for a healthy urban life, and actively engaging with activities, campaigns and local government exchanges to change their environment. This video was produced by Youth Network for Positive Change (Dharan) and Lumanti, for an exchange organised in 2025 by the housing justice team at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), as part of the 'Neighbourhoods Fit for Diverse Young People: Civic Media Practices and Urban Claims Making in Nepal and India (YCIV)' project, and facilitated through partners of the Hub for Housing Justice.
