Youth strategies from informal settlements: voices from Indore, India
While often sitting at the margins of urban discussion, young people from informal settlements in Indore are finding ways to build capacities and becoming community urban planners, using social media, and participating in governance spaces to challenge inequalities.
This video was produced by MPNNM and IIHS, for an exchange organised in 2025 by the housing justice team at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), as part of the 'Neighbourhoods Fit for Diverse Young People: Civic Media Practices and Urban Claims Making in Nepal and India (YCIV)' project, and facilitated through partners of the Hub for Housing Justice.
