At the 2026 ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development, Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group Amina J. Mohammed called for a shift from promises to implementation, as developing countries face growing pressure and shrinking fiscal space. Financing for development must deliver tangible results: ✅ Jobs created. ✅ Infrastructure built. ✅ Families protected. ✅ Communities made resilient. Because financing for development is ultimately about building a more stable, more just and more hopeful future, where everyone can live a life of dignity.
