Update on Oxfam's response to Ebola featuring interview with Roger Kalimira (Oxfam Public Health Team Leader) Oxfam plans to step up its response to the Ebola outbreak in the Ituri region despite budget cuts. Its priority actions include providing clean water and hygiene kits, promoting public health, and supporting community-led solutions to break the chain of transmission. Oxfam is working on two pillars: IPC (Infection Prevention and Control), WASH and CREC (Risk Communication and Community Engagement). We work directly with local coordination teams at the health zone level, build the capacity of coordination teams, communities and specific groups, and work directly with focal points for each pillar as well as the various groups involved in community engagement activities across all the health zones where we operate.
