Our colleague Eric Malyangu, Communication Officer in Mozambique, explains the food distribution taking place in Chokwe district for people affected by floods in southern and central Mozambique, which have impacted around 700,000 people. ---- Beginning in late December 2025 and continuing into January 2026, severe flooding caused by intense rainfall affected over 700,000 people across southern and central Mozambique. This resulted in evacuation of families due to loss of properties as well as crops.
