In conversation with the Foreign Minister of Estonia Margus Tsahkna

On 11 March, ASPI hosted a conversation with Estonia's Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna. Moderated by ASPI Executive Director Justin Bassi, the discussion examined Russia’s war on Ukraine, the Middle East conflict, Estonia’s digital leadership and why the unstable strategic landscape means there’s is no longer a separation of European and Indo-Pacific security.

Minister Tsahkna also shared insights on Estonia’s approach to resilience, why values, principles and rules still matter for democratic countries, and why achieving both a just peace for Ukraine and understanding the post-war threats from Russia are important for Europe and Australia.
