This Penguin Awareness Day, journey to Antarctica with Jamie Lafferty, Scottish travel writer, photographer and polar guide, to explore the remarkable lives of the penguins who call the icy continent and its surrounding islands home. For his acclaimed book An Inconvenience of Penguins, Jamie travelled to the world's most inaccessible and challenging landscapes in a quest to see all 18 species. He’ll recount the history of our unique relationship with the world's most popular bird, telling stories of the penguins, but also the people and places around them, in a part-love letter to and part-biography of these remarkable creatures. Jamie will reflect on what Antarctic penguins reveal about the deep connections between people, penguins and the Southern polar regions Jamie Lafferty is a travel writer, photographer, and polar guide from Scotland. His first book, An Inconvenience of Penguins, follows his quest to see all 18 species of penguins in the wild.
