Capturing Antarctica
Join us on Monday 10 November for a webinar exploring the evolution of photography and cinematography in Antarctica. From Herbert Ponting — the expedition photographer and cinematographer for Scott's Terra Nova Expedition — to contemporary documentation of polar science and climate change, this session examines how photography has shaped our understanding of Antarctica. SPRI Archivist Naomi Boneham and NSMM Head Curator Dr Charlotte Connelly will be in conversation with UKAHT’s Head of Buildings and Conservation, Ruth Mullett.
In partnership with the National Science and Media Museum Bradford and Scott Polar Research Institute
