Livelihoods Diversification and Value Addition by Grassroots Women's Group's in Brazil.
As part of the SIDA supported "Nurturing Grassroots Women's Leadership & Social Capital to Foster Resilient Communities in Uncertain Times" program, Huairou Commission's members are implenting a range of initiatives that promote community resilience.
In Brazil, the Cooperativa Reação, a part of the Rede Pintadas Network used the Community Resilience Fund (a flexible finance mechanism that puts money and decision-making power directly into the hands of women) to start a collective women-led business that diversified livelihoods and built resilience to the climate shocks that affect rural farming communities.
