#CHA24 Reporting: "Operating in a Climate-Changed World", Three Hot Takes from Day 2 and Goodbye

The effects of climate change are not evenly distributed. Quite the opposite. Its impacts are felt most strongly by groups that are already vulnerable, marginalised, or discriminated against. In three concurrent sessions, we will discuss how aid organisations identify and address different climate-related needs, and what resources and capacities are required to effectively operate in a climate-changed world. This is a Reporting from the Session "Priorities, Needs, Necessities: Operating in a Climate-Changed World". The following three active sessions where conducted onsite: - Active Session 1 on Climate Finance with Dr Iida-Maria Tammi (Visiting Scholar, CHA) - Active Session 2 on Climate Change and Gender with Abdikarim Yusuf (Project Manager, Child Protection, Save the Children Somalia) - Active Session 3 on Diaspora Actors with Miralyne Zeghnoune (Research and MEAL Specialist, DEMAC) After the Reporting, Matthias Amling (Welthungerhilfe) and Andrea Steinke (CHA) draw three hot takes from day 2 before Ralf Südhoff (Director CHA) will conclude with a goodbye. _______________________________________ To keep up to date with the work of the Centre for Humanitarian Action (CHA), visit our website https://www.chaberlin.org/ And follow us on: Twitter/X https://twitter.com/cha_germany Facebook https://www.facebook.com/chaberlin.org LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/centre-for-humanitarian-action/ Subscribe to our newsletter (in English or German): https://www.chaberlin.org/en/media-hub/#cha-newsletter-2 Listen to our podcast: https://www.chaberlin.org/en/media-hub/#podcast-2 Or subscribe to the Humanitarian Takeaways, which contain a collection of selected and summarised materials on a specific humanitarian issue: https://www.chaberlin.org/en/media-hub/#humanitarian-takeaways-2
