Burundi marks a milestone: Celebrating the elimination of trachoma as a public health concern
On 30 January, in alignment with World NTD Day, Burundi became the first country in East Africa to be validated for the elimination of trachoma as a public health concern. This documentary captures the national celebration in Burundi, featuring Her Excellency Angeline Ndayishimiye, First Lady of the Republic of Burundi, alongside government leaders, community members, and international partners from CBM, The END Fund, and WHO.
CBM has supported Burundi's health priorities for over two decades. As Burundi moves forward, we remain committed to sustaining these gains and ensuring no one is left behind.
