CBM, in collaboration with BMZ and LRBT, introduced the first integrated inclusive eye health programme in Raheem Yar Khan District, South Punjab, Pakistan. For the first time, quality eye care was brought to the doorstep of communities that had lived for years without access. Thousands of people have since had their sight restored through cataract surgeries and glasses, children are being screened in schools with modern technology, and people with disabilities are receiving assistive devices and support. What started as a seed of hope has grown into a sustainable model of inclusive eye health one that continues to transform lives every day.
