In Colombia, the automotive industry faced rising costs due to inconsistent customs classification of parts and inefficient appeals processes, slowing down trade and increasing prices. The Alliance teamed up with Colombia’s Customs and Tax Administration (DIAN) and the private sector to establish a Center of Excellence dedicated to the automotive industry. This Center became a virtual hub for industry-specific customs knowledge, improving consistency and streamlining procedures.
