Uganda’s horticulture sector is growing fast — but MSMEs still face long, costly sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) inspections that slow exports and limit economic opportunity, especially for women who make up 70% of the workforce. The Alliance's project (RUSH) is transforming the inspection process with a modern, risk-based, electronic system. Together with MAAIF, MTIC, the private sector, and logistics partners like CHAMP Cargosystems, IATA, DHL, and Entebbe Airport, we’re making SPS checks faster, more transparent, and more efficient.
