Digitalising Phytosanitary Certification in Nigeria

Digitalising Phytosanitary Certification in Nigeria

Phytosanitary certificates are mandatory when shipping plant products to prove that the shipment is free pests and disease. In Nigeria, this used to be a cumbersome, manual process involving long processing times and high costs. The Alliance project to introduce the IPPC ePhyto Solution has helped reduce both the time and cost of acquiring certification, minimising spoilage and boosting trade. Our stakeholders in Nigeria explain how this was a game-changer.
