Kriti Sanon Visits Bhopal | Gender Equality & Women's Leadership | UNFPA India
UNFPA India's Honorary Ambassador for Gender Equality, Kriti Sanon, visited Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh to meet the students, leaders, and frontline workers championing the rights of women and girls across the state.
During her visit, Kriti sat with students at Subhash Excellence School, where UMANG (School Health & Wellness Programme) is providing young people with life skills training, nutrition and hygiene information, mental health awareness, and tools for communication and mutual respect. She also witnessed UJJWAL (Positive Masculinity Module) — a programme helping teenage boys question gender stereotypes and choose equality. 🏫
She met women Sarpanches — elected village leaders — who are building libraries, running ambulance services, and declaring their villages child marriage-free. Over 53% of Sarpanch positions in Madhya Pradesh are now held by women. 🏛️
She also visited Bhopal's Mahila Thana — India's first ISO-certified police station dedicated entirely to the safety of women and children, where every case is handled with dignity and care. 🚔
These are the people driving real change, every single day.
Proud to build this alongside the Government of Madhya Pradesh, one community at a time. ✊
