A morning session with the #HeroRATs at our training minefield. These are the 3 meter boxes (3x20m) where our little heroes first encounter REAL buried defused landmines. Guided by two trainers, the rat systematically searches the 60 sqm area, searching for the scent of explosives. When it indicates on a landmine, it earns a click and a tasty reward. #APOPO #ScentDetection #ClickerTraining #africangiantpouchedrat
