Skills for hope — SHINE project empowers women to earn and promote community leadership

Amid the challenges of life in the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, many young women are finding strength and purpose through skills and income generation opportunities. This video tells the inspiring story of a young Rohingya woman who turned her weaving and knitting skills into an income source. With training and support, she now facilitates a shop in the camp women’s market, providing income for herself, her family, and opportunities for others in her community. Her story reflects the power of resilience, skill development, and economic empowerment. We are supporting women to move from aid dependency to self-reliance, restoring dignity and hope for a better future.
