Venezuela: UN rights chief calls for trust, justice and accountability

On 26 June 2026, Volker Türk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, updated the Human Rights Council on the situation in Venezuela. Speaking at the Council's 62nd session in Geneva, Mr. Türk also offered his condolences for the victims of the 24 June earthquakes in Venezuela.
