On 23 January 2026, Margus Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, delivered a video statement to the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva during its 39th special session on the deteriorating human rights situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He spoke on behalf of the Nordic Baltic States (NB8): Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
