September 7th, 2024 will mark the 4th World Field Epidemiology Day and in this short presentation, Dr. Carl Reddy, Director of TEPHINET hopes to encourage you to prepare and participate in this important global awareness campaign. TEPHINET founded World Field Epidemiology Day in 2020, the year the world was battling the novel virus, COVID-19, and field epidemiology was tested by a terrifying global pandemic. Why September 7th? On September 7th, 1856, John Snow took his findings from his now-famous investigation of the Broad Street cholera outbreak to local officials, leading them to take action and remove the water pump handle from the contaminated well. Over the next few slides, Dr. Reddy will share where you can find resources, the 2024 Campaign theme, and highlights from last year’s World Field Epi Day that may inspire you.
