In Colombia, the GEF SGP, implemented by UNDP, has supported since 2019 the Guardians of the Páramos alliance, in partnership with SWISSAID and World Women’s Corporation Colombia. This initiative aims to contribute to the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of biodiversity, and to reduce the vulnerability of páramos ecosystems and families to climate change, while strengthening the capacities of local communities to manage their territories and promoting women’s participation and leadership.
