Roman Olive Tree Conservation in Jordan
In Jordan, the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP), implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is helping conserve the Roman Olive Tree, a perennial species that has great historical, cultural, environmental and economic value for local communities like Tubnah. This project is executed under the Global Support Initiative to territories and areas conserved by Indigenous Peoples and local communities (ICCA-GSI), funded by the Government of Germany.
