In preparation for the 2026 UN Biodiversity Conference, leading experts from key Geneva-based institutions and processes speaking at the Geneva Celebration of the International Day for Biological Diversity provided updates on preparations for this major milestone. The celebration will feature Lightning Talks where experts from various Geneva-based institutions will showcase how they are leveraging local and global action for nature. In this Talk, Benjamin SCHACHTER, Coordinator of the Environment and Climate Change Team at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights showcased how applying human rights-based approach is driving action.
