This side event to the 62nd session of the Human Rights Council seeks to provide a platform for practical and forward-looking discussions on how energy transition policies can simultaneously advance climate adaptation, resilience-building and human rights protection. The event, organized by Malaysia, Maldives, the Philippines, Vietnam, the International Institute for Sustainable Development, Soka Gakkai International, and the Geneva Environment Network, will also highlight the importance of ensuring that energy transition pathways remain equitable, inclusive and responsive to the needs of developing countries and climate-vulnerable communities.
